- Plastics technology: Ivorian imports of plastics technology grew from €31 million in 2019 to €51 million in 2022. As such, Côte d'Ivoire represents the second largest investor in plastics technology in West Africa after Nigeria. West African imports of plastics technology more than doubled over the past few years, from €144 million in 2016 to €296 million in 2022, an average growth of 12.8% annually. Major West African import markets of plastics technology - apart from Nigeria – are Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal, Togo, Guinea and Mali, in this order.
- Printing and paper technology: From €93 million in 2017 to €146 million in 2022: West Africa’s imports of printing and paper processing technology show an annual increase of 9.4% with Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Senegal being the major buyers.
- Packaging technology: Ivorian imports of packaging technology have risen from €24 million in 2020 to €36 million in 2022. West Africa imported packaging technology worth €392 million in 2022, an annual increase of 7.2% compared to €240 million in 2016. (VDMA)
