Ghana is one of the “top export markets 2014” says German Ministry for Economic Affairs

The 2nd plastprintpack West Africa on 2-4 December 2014 in Accra: Leading exhibitors and pavilions have already re-booked

With 1,326 professional visitors from 37 countries, a share of 75% of decision makers and 9% from outside Ghana discussing business with 81 exhibitors from 21 countries, agrofood & plastprintpack West Africa 2013 have set a new benchmark for Ghana and West Africa.

It is on the background of the success of the first edition and responding to the growth, demand and vitality of West Africa’s industry, that fairtrade organizes the 2nd edition of plastprintpack West Africa on 2-4 December 2014, again at the Accra International Conference Centre.

As 88% of the exhibitors in 2013 could extend their business contacts, it comes as no surprise that leading exhibitors such as BSW, Erema, Konica Minolta, Moss, NGR, Resitech, Samwha, and Windmöller & Hölscher have already re-booked their stands. The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Advantage Austria will yet again organise an official Austrian group pavilion.

First-time exhibitors in 2014 include the official Spanish pavilion organised by AVEP - Valencian Plastics Industries Association of Spain as well as Polyoak Packaging from South Africa and KUAG and Statec Binder from Austria.

The German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Germany Trade & Invest have identified six countries that earn increased attention of the German export economy. Among the “top export markets 2014” are China, Columbia, Ghana, Indonesia, South Korea and the United Kingdom. State Secretary Stefan Kapferer:" Despite their great differences, the selected countries are characterized by an above-average growth, a positive development in the core sectors of the German middle class and a stable business environment." plastprintpack West Africa: Exports of plastics technology to West Africa enjoy staggering growth

The West African market for plastics technology becomes ever more important and enjoys staggering growth. According to VDMA-The German Engineering Association, the West African plastics industry imported plastics machinery and equipment, in 2011, at a volume of 133.5 million Euro, after 96.9 million Euro in 2010. This marks an increase of 37.7%. In 2012 imports of such items with 135.0 million Euro stood firm on a high level.

plastprintpack West Africa: Fast growing West African imports of printing and paper technology

plastprintpack West Africa  takes place on the background of fast growing West African imports of printing and paper technology.

According to VDMA-The German Engineering Association, West African imports of printing and paper machinery and equipment, in 2011, have increased by 59.2% to 109.5 million Euro, compared to 68.5 million Euro in 2010. With 88.2 million Euro, imports of such items stood relatively firm in 2012.
